These super sized 72" x 36" half round hearth rugs are made of synthetic fibers which perform similar to nylon but have slightly lower melt temperatures. These attractive hearth rugs meet the CPSC standard FF 1-70 for flammability of carpets. This test is often called the " pill test "and certifies that the carpet will not continue to support combustion once the ignition source has cooled or been removed. The ember that pops out may char a spot on the hearth rug but the rug will not burn. It will protect the underlying surface. Available in three colors: black, barnwood, and crimson.
